It’s not just a visual event: Winterfest reshapes the experience for several weeks with free rewards, daily challenges, map changes, and special modes, becoming the perfect meeting point for both active players and those who return only during this season.

What is Fortnite’s Winter Festival?

Winterfest is the annual seasonal event celebrated by Epic Games during the end-of-year holidays. Its goals are clear:

• Keep the community active throughout December and early January

More than just an event, Winterfest is an in-game celebration expressed through exclusive cosmetics and accessible challenges for all types of players. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re good or bad at the game—you’ll be able to earn all the rewards!

What can you get during Winterfest 2025?

This is the heart of the event. Winterfest stands out for offering free rewards and a large amount of XP for the Battle Pass.

During Winterfest 2025, you can obtain:

• Festive holiday hamster outfit.
• Frozen test dummy outfit.
• Holiday penguin back bling.
• Golden pickaxe wrapped like a gift.
• Wraps and Christmas-themed cosmetics.

These rewards are mainly obtained through the daily gift system inside the Winterfest Cabin.

Each day, you can choose a different present. Some contain smaller cosmetics, while others hide the most valuable rewards, such as skins.

Tip: If for any reason you can’t log in every day, the game allows you to open several accumulated gifts before the event ends—but only within the deadline, from December 18, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Map and gameplay changes

During the Winter Festival, there are several important changes you should pay attention to:

The return of certain limited-time game modes (these modes will roll out throughout the event; nothing is 100% confirmed yet).

Skins and collaborations during the event

During the event, the highly anticipated skins arriving include:

December 18:

• Snow Miku
• Harry Potter (with customizable skins)
• Aston Martin Valhalla

December 22:

• Holiday version of Sabrina Carpenter (Santabrina)

Additionally, there are strong rumors about a possible Home Alone skin collaboration, although no release date has been announced.
